Os anos até 2012 serão anos de grandes transformações na organização e gestão das Tecnologias da Informação.
Não sou eu que o digo, mas o Gartner, por isso prefiro manter o texto original (o inglês às vezes é mais convincente que o português):
  1. By 2011, the IT profession will split into four domains of expertise: technology, information, process and relationships (0.8 probability).
  2. IT organizations in 2011 will have 20% fewer people, 40% less in-house technology roles and double the number of information, process and business roles compared with those in 2005 (0.7 probability).
  3. By 2012, IT contribution will be cited in the top three success factors by at least half of topperforming businesses; and IT barriers will be cited in the top three failure factors by at least half of the lowest performers (0.7 probability).
  4. Businesses that connect the design of information and business process with technology will exceed average sector performance by at least 15% until at least 2011 (0.7 probability).
  5. By 2012, business processes, information and relationships will be more than half the value focus of most former IT organizations in large enterprises (0.7 probability).
  6. By 2010, 25% of applications will be delivered by IT-utility-style computing, enabled by real-time infrastructure (RTI), up from less than 5% in 2005 (0.7 probability).
  7. By 2011, IT organizations in midsize and large companies will be at least 20% smaller than they were in 2005 (0.7 probability).
  8. By 2011, 50% of IT organizations will refocus on brokering services and shaping business demand, rather than on delivering IT services directly, from about 5% in 2004 (0.7 probability).
  9. By 2011, the design and management of business processes and relationships will supersede the management of technology as the leading value contribution for more than 50% of former IT organizations in $1 billion-plus enterprises and for more than 30% of established IT services businesses (0.7 probability).
  10. By 2008, CIOs will need to spend more than 50% of their time on relationships outside the enterprise to ensure they deliver the expected business outcomes (0.7 probability).
  11. By 2008, more than 30% of Global 1000 enterprises will reshape their IT organizations to manage business process architecture and business relationships (0.7 probability).
